Every skill gets the same Tally brief, alone in a clean project. How we test
Our verdict
3/5 out of 5
Passed the cut
Big Pics, Little Words makes Tally all pictures: large flat illustrations drawn in code, a few words per section, warm paper colors and tomato and mustard accents. The dashboard leads with a dark card and a huge "$640 left to budget", and each envelope is a jar that fills up. It is a real idea, though the paper and dark-green palette are close to the default. The skill is meant to be called by hand, and in our runs it was loaded by reading its file. Pick it when you want visuals to carry the message.
Pick it for
- explainer and onboarding pages
- pitch pages
- visual reports
- simple dashboards
Skip it for
- content-heavy pages
- SEO-focused marketing
- dense admin tools
Colors
Observations
- the cream paper, Fraunces and dark green are close to the default palette
- the skill is set to manual use only, so in both runs the agent read the skill file instead of calling it

Liquid Glass Design (ECC)
Liquid Glass Design builds Tally out of frosted glass panels floating over soft mint, peach and periwinkle light, set in Bricolage Grotesque and DM Sans. The dashboard keeps the glass in Manrope and stays readable. Pick it if you want a friendly, Apple-flavored product that looks nothing like the cream-and-serif default.

Impeccable
Impeccable drops the cream-and-serif default for a loud navy, orange and primary-color landing page set in heavy Archivo, then builds a calmer pine-and-lime dashboard. Pick it if you want a product page with real energy that still holds up on a dense screen.

Hallmark
Hallmark turns Tally into a cheerful yellow-and-pastel brand in Plus Jakarta Sans with big ghost numerals, and the dashboard matches it. The most consistent result in the set, but it took about 12 minutes per brief.

Huashu Design
Huashu swaps Fraunces for Bricolage Grotesque and puts a lime highlighter on a deep forest green. It keeps envelopes as real kraft cards and carries the look into a tidy dashboard. A safe, distinct choice for consumer finance.

Design Artifact (Effective HTML)
Design Artifact gave Tally its own idea: cash envelopes drawn with flaps and fill bars, tally marks that count days left and form the logo, cool ledger grey with cobalt and marigold, and condensed Big Shoulders Display headlines. The dashboard is a calm, cool-toned app screen with Bricolage Grotesque and one cobalt accent. Both are clean and distinct. Pick it when you want the agent to come up with a concept, not just a palette.

Skeuomorphic UI (Meng To)
Skeuomorphic UI gives Tally tactile beige surfaces, embossed buttons and stacked shadows, in Fraunces and DM Sans, with a Manrope dashboard. It's a real texture change from the baseline, but the green and the serif stay, and the mobile dashboard scrolls sideways. Pick it for a playful, physical feel.

Fantasy (Awesome Design Skills)
Fantasy recasts Tally as a royal treasury: a starry navy hero, New Rocker display type, gold accents, envelopes as "coffers" and plans named Squire, Knight and Guild. The dashboard has a deep-blue sidebar with a gold crest and gold-cornered cards. The theme is fun and consistent, but the light dashboard is calmer than the landing. Pick it for gaming or playful brands.

ECC Frontend Design Direction
ECC keeps a Fraunces and cream landing page but adds mono labels and a tilted sticky note. The IBM Plex dashboard is more useful than the baseline's, with a sync alert, search and person filters.
