About

I'm Radu. I'm a designer, and a lot of my work now is vibe coding with Claude and ChatGPT. Skills for Design is the directory I wanted on those days: a way to see which design skills actually do something.

There are hundreds of Claude skills, plugins, and MCP servers that claim they'll improve the design output, and almost no way to tell which ones hold up. So I test them on the same brief and show the results here, side by side.

I add something when it's really about UI or visual design. That might be a skill, a plugin, an MCP server, or a collection of them. A repo that only drops the word "design" in the README doesn't get a page. We keep the shelf small on purpose. If I missed one you rely on, send it through the submit page.

When a skill can be judged on a web page, I run it through one standard brief: a landing page for a fictional budgeting app. The before is that page with no design skill. The after is me applying the skill's published instructions to that same brief. I don't run the skill inside its own agent or plugin, so a native install can look different from what I show. The score is my judgement of that page. The full method, including what I don't test, is on How we test.

Sponsor slots are labeled. A sponsor never changes a score or a verdict.

You can reach me on X at @RaduCreates, and the rest of my work lives at iamradu.com. For a new listing or a retest, use the submit page.
