What is envelope budgeting?: You split your income into categories before you spend it. Each category is an envelope with a set amount. When an envelope runs out, you either stop spending in that category or move money over from another one.
Can Tally move money out of my bank account?: No. The bank connection is read-only. Tally can see balances and transactions, but it can't make payments or transfers.
How does sharing work on the Family plan?: You invite people by email. They get their own login and see the shared envelopes. Each person can choose which of their accounts feed into the shared budget.
Can I switch plans later?: Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from settings at any time. If you drop back to Free, your envelopes and history stay put.
