On Plus and Family, you connect your bank accounts and new transactions are brought into Tally automatically. Tally only reads transactions; it can't move money. On Free, you enter transactions yourself and everything else works the same way.
You split your monthly income into envelopes such as Rent, Groceries or Fun. Each purchase comes out of one envelope. When an envelope is empty, you either stop spending in that category or move money over from another envelope on purpose.
A member is anyone with their own login to the same budget. Free and Plus budgets have one member. A Family budget can have up to six, and each person can connect their own bank accounts.
Plus and Family are billed monthly, per budget. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. If you go back to Free, your envelopes and history stay, bank sync pauses, and extra members lose access.
