Is it safe to connect my bank?
Tally gets read-only access to your transactions. It can see what you spent, but it can't move money. You can disconnect an account at any time and its data is removed.
What is envelope budgeting?
You split your money into categories before spending it, like putting cash into labelled envelopes. When an envelope is empty, you stop or move money from another one. Tally does the counting for you.
Can I use Tally without connecting a bank?
Yes. The Free plan works entirely with transactions you add by hand. Bank sync arrives when you move to Plus or Family.
How do shared budgets work?
On the Family plan you invite up to five other people by email. Everyone sees the shared envelopes and their balances update as anyone spends. Each person can also keep private envelopes.
