Give every dollar an envelope.

Tally syncs with your bank, sorts each purchase into the envelope it belongs to, and tells you what’s left before you spend it — not after.

Your paycheck, split before it slips away.

Envelope budgeting is the old cash-in-envelopes method, minus the envelopes. When money comes in, you decide where all of it goes. Then you just spend from the right one.

The parts of budgeting that used to take a spreadsheet and a Sunday afternoon now happen in the background.

Syncs with your bank accounts

Connect checking, savings and cards once. New transactions arrive on their own and land in the envelope they usually belong to — you just confirm.

Bill reminders that show up early

Tally learns your recurring bills and nudges you a few days before each one is due, with the money already set aside.

Shared budgets for households

Invite a partner or roommate. Everyone sees the same envelopes, spends from them, and nobody has to ask “did you already buy milk?”

On your phone, and on the big screen

Log a purchase on iOS or Android at the checkout, then plan next month on the web. Everything stays in sync.

Fair questions.

If yours isn’t here, write to us from inside the app and a real person will answer.

What is an envelope budget, exactly?

You split the money you have into categories — rent, groceries, fun — before you spend it. When an envelope is empty, you either stop or move money over from another one. It keeps every decision visible.

Can Tally move money in my bank?

No. Tally reads your balances and transactions so it can keep envelopes up to date. Your money stays where it is; envelopes are a plan on top of it.

How do shared budgets work?

On the Family plan you invite people to your household. Shared envelopes update for everyone the moment someone spends, and each person can still keep a few envelopes just for themselves.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, up or down, whenever you like. Your envelopes and history come with you.
