What is envelope budgeting?
It’s the practice of dividing your money into categories, or “envelopes,” before you spend it. When an envelope is empty, you either stop spending in that category or move money over from another one. Tally handles the math.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. The Free plan works with transactions you enter yourself. Bank sync comes with Plus and Family, and you can switch it on whenever you’re ready.
How do shared budgets work?
On the Family plan you invite people from your household to a shared budget. Everyone sees the same envelopes and transactions, live, on whatever device they use.
