What is envelope budgeting?
It's the classic method of putting cash into labeled envelopes — one for rent, one for groceries, and so on. When an envelope is empty, that category is done for the month. Tally does the same thing digitally.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. The Free plan works with manual entries. Plus and Family add automatic bank sync so transactions appear on their own.
How do shared budgets work?
On the Family plan, you invite the people in your household. Everyone sees and updates the same envelopes, and bill reminders go to the whole group.
